Thanx alot gentlemen !! Well I didn't realy have time to tweek my calls cause they got to me 5 min. before the contest but ran with it anyways. They chose 4 calls for us to do. #1 was to do your best bird distress call [ so I did a wounded woodpecker and chose to do it with the Lil' Rascal]. #2 was to do your best Cottontail Distress [ I chose the medium range Killar Pipe ]. #3 was to do your best Fawn Distress [ I chose the Pelt Master and closed off the mouse squeeker with my finger ]. #4 was to do your best callers choice call [ I chose to do wounded coyote pup with the Distress Fawn black 6 sisded Q.B. call. I take the end off and yip and ki-yi on the barely expose reed and it sounds great ! ]... I called against Al Morris and he ranked 10th. and other pros ! It was fun and met a lot of my predator idols. It was an honor to represent Q.B. Calls other than the turkey side of it !!!

My friend Duff from Pa. did pretty well there as well, winning a division or two. Did you get a chance to meet him Dave?

Thanks for getting back to me about the calls they chose for the competition. I bet it was a blast! I would like to compete in a couple years when I am confident enough to do my calls in front of hundreds of people along with the Industry Leaders! I think my nerves might get to me!
Way to Go and Congratulations!:D

Dave,
Congrats on the great showing at the worlds. How is the expo itself? Are there some good seminars and how about the vendors etc? Is the expo itself worth the time and money or are you going mostly for the competition?

Yotey, Thank you! The expo itself was great. Alot of pro venders and alot of entertainment. The seminars were awsome. Byron South, Randy Anderson, Les Johnson, etc. The food and drinks that you sample and buy are well worth the walking around. Alot of chances to further educate yourself and meet great peeps. Brent Rueb ran the last couple but the Scurry Brothers bought it and it is in Ga. this year. Good Luck and hope to see some of you guys there !!!
