I'm a cheap man and might be interested in getting a shotgun geared for waterfowl only....give some ideas and prices.

For here in Fl, I feel you can't go wrong with a standard wood stocked Remington 870 Express with a 28in bbl. These can be had new in box for less than $300 and are a great platform to build on if you are inclined. You can go in any direction with it be it home defense, clay targets, back up turkey gun, etc. with all of the accessories available for them.

+1 for the 870. Picked up a slightly used 870 express super mag in mossy oak for well under 300 bills. Had a Nova. Also a great gun for the price that'll shoot 3.5's. But, the pull was a little long for me and the stock was kinda loud....it rattled.
A few of my buddies shoot SBE II's. They don't shoot any more birds than I do, and I get to keep the extra grand in the bank

The 870 is a rock solid choice. Also the Nitro 887 that Remington brought out last year is another choice to check. Pretty much bullet proof. The price is very easy to swallow also. Can;t go wrong with either. JMO
