I hope everyone is fired up and getting ready for Spring,as it is almost here in a sense for many of us.

I want to take this oppertunity to welcome new members and visitors, and say that the entire Quaker Boy team is here and ready to help you with any questions or problems you may have in preparing for this awesome time of year.Stop by often and keep up to date with what's happening all over the country.Don't be shy,as we are all friends in here.

Spingtime and Limbhangers are all I think about these days. I passed a field today with 8 turkeys in it. I pulled over to watch a few minutes. i'm going to have to start keeping binoculars in the truck.

I got the Midwest Turkey Supply catalog in the mail today. You know it's getting close. Dick's is dutting out the Turkey stuff little by little. I still have $75 in gift cards from Christmas that I'm waiting for the right time to use.

Come on springtime. I can almost hear those gobbles now...

It won't be long now. The funny thing is, Fall turkey is still in season here in Fl,but I have had no interest in hunting them because I got wrapped up in some serious duck hunting, and I want to save my turks for the Spring. I am SO stoked about Spring gobbler and all the madness that leads up to it! I'm waiting to debut my new kit for Spring,ie: new calls, vest (camo), Guns,TruGlo acc. and such. I have always viewed the Spring season as the Daytona 500 of our hunting year, and that is when it's time to floss the goods!

I could not agree anymore fellas. I did not get to hunt any this fall due to my new born daughter, so I'm really excited about 3/15/08 getting here as soon as posssible. Got the calls out already. :D

Congrats on your daughter,Tim.She'll help with your training for getting up EARLY to hunt this Spring!

My #1 accessories are Red Bull and Eyedrops in the Spring.

As far as prep goes,I have been running my calls all night at work(grocery store)while working in the backroom, and spending every spare moment on the patterning board wringing maximum performance out of turkey guns.I am obsessed with turning shotguns into turkey Grim Reapers!

My buddy, lives in Brandon, Fl., got pulled for the first 4 days in Flying Eagle starting on 3/15/08, so I will tagging along and showing him some spots since I tore up the mud buddy last spring on a boulder rock and cannot get down the river. Seems the river is up a little which should push the birds up more into some key areas. Last year it was like a desert in there. I got a permit in there starting on 3/19/08, then its off to Jimbo's for the GA opener on 3/22/08, then back to Fl to get back in the game. Looking forward to the R&R and having a good time with friends. Taking 2 weeks off work starting on 3/14/08. I have to be honest, I'm excited.
