The "P" Gobbler vest in Realtree APG. It's a Bass Pro exclusive. I love how it feels and the way everything is laid out.You can tell that the people who designed this vest paid attention to every detail, from the seat to the special water bottle holder on the back. The new version has a strong magnet that holds the seat up,so you don't have to mess with buckles and clips in the heat of battle!

I just bought a Mossy Oak Super Elite Hybrid, haven't used it yet.Been using a Fieldline.
Hey TrophyTracker,is the vest you are using the one that has the foam-feeling stretchy-like material on the shoulders?

Yes it is. I have two of them, and love both.I have 7 vests total and each one has a different quality that I find useful. Some days I feel like running with less gear than others and I use a H.S. SUV vest, but the majority of the time I run the Gobbler vest. I'm waiting for my new vest to arrive from D.K. Flatwoods, who I just picked up as a sponsor,so my days with the other vests will be numbered I suppose...

Be sure and let us know how you like the Flatwoods vest. Are they available from any of the big sport stores?

They are available at Gander Mtn. down here in Fl. You can order direct through them for the same price. Just Google DK Flatwoods and click on their link and go to the shopping section. The pattern is kind of area specific, but if you hunt where there is a lot of green in the area,it will work just fine.Check it out and tell me what you think! Thanks CH

I snatched up a DK Flatwoods turkey vest at the Bow Jamboree at Citrus WMA in Sept. 2007 for only $25.00. The owners had a booth there and were having some crazy mad sale. Did not have any more $$$ at the time or would have got the pants, mask, gloves--already have a shirt.

Chad,

Did they update the turkey vest design for 2008?

Was out scouting this morning and got to witness 2 gobblers battle it out for about 10 mins.....birds are tearing down the woods. Cant hardly wait!!:D

I have a Bucklick Creek from Bass Pro Shop. I love the seat in it. I can sit still as long as I need to. It also has the magnet thing in it to keep the seat up when not in use.

Tim, I don't know how I missed this post,sorry!

There is a strap vest in the works that will be better than the one that is out. I am having my DK vest brought up to date with buckles instead of buttons and a zipper on the seat. These vests were made from the original stock pile from '97 so they are a little out of date, but still good! I am going to present them with "my" version and see what happens.

I have the Gander Mt. Guide series vest and I love it! It has an extra wide/thick seat that has both the clips and the magnetic tabs for the seat which is nice because you can just flip it behind you and it sticks vs. snapping the loud clips. It also has magnetics and zipper back ups on all of the pockets making it super quiet. Slate call/ striker pouch and box call pouch that keeps the call real quiet while moving. I lke that it accepts a camel back so you can keep water with you.
