I LOVE mine. The dvd that comes with it is pretty neat too.

Anyone got any ideas how to keep this call quite while its in your pack? Rubber bands around the squeeze barrell? Seems like if you even breath in the direction of this call, it makes noise.

Just pull the rubber bellow off. It comes off easy, and can be replaced in less than five seconds. Both pieces can be stored in the same pocket without making a sound, and to avoid getting lost.

If you aren't comfortable taking it apart, getting a thick "meat" rubber band like used on lobster claws will also work. Just squeeze all of the air out of the bellow and fold it up tightly against the can. Run the rubberband lengthwise covering both the end with the rubber on it, as well as the end with the little holes in it.

I found, too that when I put it back together, I squeeze the bellows out before pushing it back on to avoid making unwanted noise. It doesn't take much to get good at it one handed, either.

I think them calls only work if theres deer already under your stand :D If your talking about the doe that come in at FE you sure were tooting the hell out of that thing before she came in. I'v never had anything come charging in and I've never had a deer spook from it. Ive tooted on it a couple times with does inside 50 yrds and they didnt even look... I guess it doesnt hurt to use it, but i cant say it helps either...

My brothers brother in law, whatever that makes him to me, said he shot a buck in Ocala using one during archery. He said he missed once, hit the can and it came back, missed again, hit the can and it came back again and he nailed it the third time. I dunno how true it is but it sure sounds good.

Yeah...I dont spend enough time in the deer woods to form any truths or experiences for the bleat. I do know that the squeezin bleat sure can make some noise!!

Congrats to your family member's ocala deer
