Is anyone shooting Federal Black Cloud this season? If so what are your thoughts on its performance? I have put quite a number of it through my guns in many different shot sizes this year and have drawn some interesting conclusions. I want to hear what others have to say.

Yes, I used Black Cloud this season. I patterned it against the following 3" shells:
Kent 3" Fast Steel
Winchester XX
Remington Sportsman
I found it patterned the same as my Kent's #2's - which out performed the rest (in my gun/choke combo), and I used it last season. I cannot comment on the stopping power of Black Cloud as I could tell if it was a kill when I pulled the trigger (if I was on the bord or not).
Will probably use it agian next season - good stuff for the price. Sort of bridged the gap between steel and Hevi Shot

I'm pretty stoked that in 2009 they are going to offer a 2 3/4 in version of it. The price should be under $20 :)

What are you guys paying for this stuff down in the US?
This season I was buying 25 x 3" #2 & BB Black Cloud shells for $23 - $25/box, and at the same stores 3" Winchester Super X is about $19 - $22/box

You have to believe there is truth in advertising...drops ducks like rain from what they say...TR Rocketheads states that just screw on one of their broadheads and go straight to the hunt--I will be putting their advertising to test in about 30 days....I might stop and get a sandwhich before going straight to the hunt..you know what i mean
