Attended the local NWTF banquet Friday night.

Won a turkey fryer, now I got to go get a turkey to put in it.

This is my 3rd year serving on the comitee and the turn out is the smallest I have ever seen, Larry our chapter president said it was smaller than he has seen in a long time.
On top of that, things that were being auctioned off last year for 300 to 400 dollars were going for 100 to 150 dollars, I was sure wishing that I had some spare cash, becuase no one was bidding higher than 150 dollars. The really nice turkey sculptures were going for 75 bucks! I think we had a total of 90 people compared to 300 last year.
I guess the economy has got everyone scared to spend anything.
