Being that I usually shoot a coyote or two sneaking into a spring turkey set up.
I was wondering what would be the best technique for summer predator calling?
I've often thought about sitting on a fresh cut hay field with the Fawn Distress call.
What do you predator guys think? Good tactic or bad?

Sounds pretty solid to me. I usually see them sneaking along the edges of hay fields in the early A.M. and also in the P.M. looking for an easy snack..

If the area does not have any pressure from other callers you may be just fine using a rabbit distress call. The summer is a good time to use the sound of a pup in distress too.
Good Luck
