The Pennsylvania Waterfowl and Turkey Expo is being held in Mercer pa on June 27,28 this year. I am one of the organizers, we would love Quaker Boy to have a booth there and maybe have some stage time, any of you staffers close by? Who do we need to contact to get you there?
Saturday there will be seminars all day and the waterfowl calling contests, Sunday there will be seminars, a retriever contest and the turkey calling contest.
I will post up a flyer as soon as I get one! Thanks, Brian

The retriever test at our Pa. Expo will be a lot of fun. Here is the qualifications for entering this event. Set up to make it an enjoyable and fun experience.
If you are planning on running your companion hunting retriever in our contest on Sunday, please register on the Callin The Shots Forum under, Just Killin Time!. There will be two levels, with level 1 being the easiest. The contest description will not be announced until the meeting prior to the contest. This will be fun, and all companion hunting retrievers will fit into one of the two levels. It will be up to you which one you enter. Here are the basic criteria in order to qualify to run.
1. Dog must be at least 5 mths old. Make sure he/she is OK under a 12ga. shotgun.
2. No max. age limit.
3. Handlers must be at least 12 yrs old with parents or guardian that personally give me permission to let you shoot 12ga. popper loads.
4. Dogs must be a retriever or mixed retriever breeds. (example: lab-golden mix)
5. Dogs may NOT, hold any Hunt Test or Field Trial Titles.
6. Show titles are OK.
7. E-collars are OK to use and the way in which used will be considered in the judging.
8. Slip leads, collars, stake-outs & etc is also OK, but will be considerd in the judging
9. Handlers will also be part of the judging score.
I will personally be judging the contests. Remember, this is meant to be a fun event. I promise fairness, a few laughs, safety and the only time you will never miss a bird for your dog to retrieve. Please consider entering your dog and enjoy the experience. No fee will be charged and trophys will be awarded. I would appreciate advanced registration with your name, dogs name & age, breed and how many hunting seasons the dog has experienced. This will give me an idea of time and actual hunting scenarios. Those that show up without pre registering can still run if qualified. Must sign up and choose level before test is actually set up.

We will also be having the Sportsman Flea Market again at the show this year. This is a great way to get rid of some of your hunting and fishing gear you don't use anymore. This is for outdoor related items only. Cost for setting up for the 2 days is $20.00. You must use a table where possible. For more information you can go to the shows web site. www.waterfowlandturkeyexpo.com
Thanks

Fo' Sho, gang. I'm glad you all had a good time, and I'm super glad the kids got into the action and walked away with some hardware and memories! That's why I'm proud to be a part of the Quaker Boy Family:)

Those kids will become "lifers" for sure. I remember going to events like this when I was a kid, and it seriously grew my passion for the outdoors as well as fellowship with others who love the same thing!
