What month do most of you start shooting your bow the most? What is your normal practice routine?

I try to shoot year around off and on, but loose desire during the spring:rolleyes: Depending on the weather, the heat, and the mosquitos/flies, I try to get serious after July 4th and will shoot as much as I can. My yard limits me to 37 yards. I practice at 10, 20, 30, 37, and all distances in between. At the beginning of September, I get out the ameristep brickhouse blind and practice shooting from within inside the blind while sitting down. I mostly bowhunt from the ground now and learning what works and what does not work from the ground.
Right now, I need a new bowstring and wont be shooting until then:(

That's total dedication Paul! I wish there was a way that I could quietly pattern shotguns at 10pm at my house!:p That is what makes archery so great though! I like to practice alone for tuning, but recently, I've been shooting with some of my mates who also shoot, and have really enjoyed it.

I shoot all year long Chad. I mostly shoot from 40+ to fine tune my form.
Paul,
I like the idea of practing at longer ranges. If you are hitting 4 inch kill zones consistantly at 40 yards then those 10-30 yards shot become almost routine. I use that term routine loosely because I am fully aware that there is no "routine" shot when hunting.
I think the aim small, miss small theory falls under the same category. When shooting at short distances don't settle for hitting a 4 kill zone. I like the idea of trying to hit a 1 inch spot at 20-30 yards.
