If you could have any 3D animal target(species) in your backyard, which type of animal would it be?

Ive never shot at a 3d target before or owned one, but id say a turkey. If i could hit a turkey at 40+ yrds i should be in good shape deer season. I dunno how long it would last though id bee shooting it hours on end...

I myself would like a Mckenzie Elk target. I'll never forget the first time I ran into one of those targets at a 3D shoot in Pa. many years ago, I thought I was going to have to go to the vendor tent and get new boxers:D The course wound through the woods on a ski resort, and at one point it came out onto one of the slopes and there it was........60yds away. This was in the mid 90's and my bow was a Pearson Apache Warrior that I bought new at Kmart, that was no speed demon:D I remember taking aim, and my bottom sight pin was pointing about 10 feet over the elk's back. I let the Easton 2117 fly and I hit him about a foot low in his front leg:o The coolest thing about this and the moose target was that even at that range they looked like a deer target at 25yds:p
If I had that target I would set it up and get my shot all over again and try to hit a bit higher this time. lol

For sure! There is a great variety in that mix, and it is always cool to hang out and shoot with a bunch of people with the same interest. I was hoping you were going to say that was in Southern Ga. or somewhere close like that!

Well the Pop-Up weekend is almost here, so I am getting my mind prepared more than my equipment. One of my favorite things to do is battle it out with my #1 nemisis target of all time: The Mckenzie Rock Rascal Groundhog! Since I don't have the real one, I have to settle for the next best thing, a photo version of the little turd.:D
This target is the most frustrating one I have ever encountered. The 10ring is the size of a half dollar, and the 12ring is the size of a dime. When I get my set-up where I think it should be, I always like to take this guy out and give him a go. If I can shoot good with him, the Whitetail,Muledeer, and even the hen turkey targets seem to double in size! I love this guy, and hate him at the same time!

Thanks brother,
This will be the first shoot of four between this weekend and Labor day, so now it's all about getting "Big Mo" on my side: MOmentum! I'm still down for gettin some licks in with you once you get your rig set up. Have you found out anything about that NFAA club by the airport?
