Do you ever shoot clay targets with some nontox shells, just to practice?

Quite a few years ago I took my SP10 and a box of #2 steel to the trap range. I have to say I got some real strange looks. I don't get the chance to spend as much time as I used to shooting trap, but I usually try to get at least one round in with steel during the summer.

I have shot rounds of sporting clays with steel shot loads. I think it is a good idea to pattern and then shoot a round with the load you decide on. I shoot the same with the steel loads as with the standard lead loads used for shooting sporting clays. Not going to say what that is, but I am consistant within one or two birds scoring with either load. Jim
