Just seen the string splitter peep sight for the first time today on the outdoor channel. Wondering if anyone has seen it or maybe tried one?

I don't even use a peep on my bows, I hate them. Sorry, not much help here:)

Im interested in this kind of shooting. I checked out the anchor sight. Looks like it would work good. so basically if I remove my peep and draw my bow back to the same position every time (anchor point) and set my pins I should be good to go? I may try it this way before I shell out 80 dollars for for the anchor sight level thing.
Chad do you use the anchor sight also or go by your natural anchor point instinctively? If so do you have any tips?

I'm still a "peep" shooter....I've always wondered about the string splitter peep..wonder how much it weighs? I'm using a 1/4 G5 Meta peep. Might be able to do a search over at archerytalk.com and get some feedback good or bad. If I had a bow press and could easily switch peeps, I would give it a try

Sam,
No peep, kisser button, or special sight here,
I use a regular TruGlo Tru-site Xtreme 5pin. I just use a consistant anchor point that I developed through practice and attention to detail. My hand anchors in the same spot every time, and my jaw rests on the same spot on my hand, causing the tip of my nose to touche the string in the same place every time..
Repetition is the key. I'm not saying my way is the best, but it IS the best for me. Plus, it's cheaper and I have more confidence in it b/c it requires less accessories on my string to buy, maintain, and possibly break, in the Heat of Battle..
Thankfully archery practice is pretty cheap, so you can experiment with what works best for you

It should be to Chad's benefit at the BPS Classic 3-D Pop-Up shoot to not be shooting a peep.....remember no head, spine, or pauch shots:o

Shoot in the house bro! :D
If you seen my paper tune setup you wouldnt say that! I took an old hog pen i made for the back of my pickup out of 2x4's and converted it. Its was just the right height and length to set a block target and a picture frame on the top of it. I got aggravated with it, it keeps shooting nock low and to the right no matter what i do. Gonna take it down to bullseye when i get paid friday. Ill probably do away with the whisker biscuit rest and go to a drop away.

Tim,
That will be a tall order to fill on that stupid little Woodchuck target with an 12 ring on it the size of a dime. Just making out what the little turd is, is hard enough, then shooting it before he goes back down? That's what it's all about! I just think about that critter from Caddyshack, and let it fly:D

Nascar? Where you see that? Looks like a truglo cap to me. Its all about consistency, practice, and using what works for you. Dan and Guy Fitzgerald shoot instinctive no peeps or sights with a compound bow, but I bet they have been doing it for a real long time.

I noticed that after I posted the pics:D
Yeah, I was also doing pics for some upcoming stuff during practice. Multi-tasking at it's best.
I once met Dan and Guy at the Sumter Co. Fairgrounds. They used to have their own Team Fitzgerald PSE bow, and that thing was something else. Now they shoot Mathews? Wild;)

Ohh, lol. Not a racing fan here man. Wouldnt know a thing about it.
Nice dude, ive never met anybody on tv. They seem like they would be cool to hang out with.
I think i got the bow figured out. Seems to me like its the whisker biscuit is catching the fletching. Alot of the whiskers are pretty bent up. If i pull the arrow through by hand i can see the whiskers crossing and putting a lot of drag on the fletching. Also i tried shooting cock vane up instead of down and my tear went from nock low right to just nock low...???

That PSE of theirs was like a tricked out Nova, that was put in a box with their pictures all over it. I think I saw one for sale in a Kmart in Marion Co. That is a pretty cool concept, and achievement, I guess.
When I was younger and more ignorant, I thought Guy was the biggest idiot on the face of the Earth. As the years went by, I realized my judgement was a little harsh. I ran into some real idiots and posers along the way in the industry that made me realize he wasn't so bad after all.

Everybody is an idiot at one point or another or does something stupid I should say. Its the idiots that learn from their mistakes that makes them smarter. Some it just makes them smarter idiots though. Perhaps he grew as you did. I just like em cause he seems like a clown but gets serious when he needs to. seems like an average joe just like me.
