Yeah Chad..I need to at least give duck hunting a fair shake....when the weather cools down, I will go with you one day. What permits stamps do I need?....Will have to borrow my Dad's waders?

You will need a Fl duck stamp, a free migratory bird permit, and a Federal duck stamp.
I'm going to do some prospecting on a new WMA that was recently added to the mix. My ultimate goal is to hook up a spot or two that you or some other new duck hunter wouldn't have to have waders. I always try to put them on a point, or some other area that is dry, but the ducks fly through when I push them. This gives people a chance to check out the sport, and give it a try, without having to buy a bunch of extra equipment. Once I have the spots locked down, I'll get back to you.

Sam, have you been down to your stand recently? How is the little swamp hole on the way there looking? I'm thinking about going back there next week with my waders and Steel shot

I havent been out in a couple weeks man. My grandmother passed away and i attended her funeral last weekend. I missed opening weekend for gun for the second year in a row. Its alright though. Last year i was in the hospital with a blown lung. At least im still kicking around. Theres a nice little spot i rececently found this year thats holding water pretty well. Might be a decent spot that would attract some woodies. I havent walked all the way around it but its inland and looked as though it kept going for a couple hundred yrds.
Ive been going in by boat pretty much the whole year except one or two times. We are supposed to have another guy going with us this weekend, but if you want the following sunday you can hitch a ride with us on the boat and we can do some walking around. Ill have to clear it with my buddy though, his boat, but he wont mind.
