Got a couple of my buddys together and went hog hunting today and ended up shooting a small 4 point feeding right on the trail. My first buck. I didnt get the best shot off but we finished him off in the palmettos. Thanx for helping me drag him out of there Tim (palmetoswamp) Wish we could have gotton on some pigs. I got some deer meat for ya. My buddy let me use a hand crank grinder so its all processed.

Congrats again Sam!! Could not ask for a better day in the deer woods than today: cool weather, friends and a buck on the ground.

Get ready, because turkey season is only 5 months away:D

CONGRATULATIONS SAM!!!!:D

That is a major achievement, and no one deserves it more than you. You have hung in there and give meaning to GRIND. That DK and PSE bow are killer in your hands!

I haven't seen the first rub down there. They are rubbing somewhere though. Looked like there was green bark down at the base of his horns... they are starting to shift from the swamps to the hammocks now I believe.

I might try to mount him myself. if I mess up ill still have a skull cap to hang on the wall. I caped him out behind the shoulders til I decide what to do. he's not a p & y but still worthy of being mounted in my eyes.

Way to Go! Killing a deer in Jumper Creek is no easy task!

My dad and I went scouting Croom today for General Gun and between Inverness and Nobleton we counted about 20 deer.

I've heard of croom but haven't been out there. Jumper Creek is only 20 minutes from me and I like it. How's the hunting at croom? Is it swamp land?

Chad i'll get on that when I get to the house. I had some catching up to do with my pillow. Sundays are rough for me. I wake up early to go to the woods plus I work that night. Well worth it though.
