I picked up a Ridge Runner yesterday and well after just reading the thread about the bleat in heat, looks like I'm heading back to the store for one of those as well!
My question to you QB Gurus is on the Ridge Runner the tube is loose and can fall off quite easily. Would I do it any harm to super glue it where the tube meets the mouth piece? It doesn't look like it would interfere with any part of the call but I figured I would ask to see why it was made the way it was...probably for easy to clean purposes.
It is not so loose that it falls off or anything but it has a lot of play and the reason it worries me is when I go to extend the tube it comes off more times than it extends.
Thanks in advance for the feedback!

It's not normal for it to come off that easily. You could take it back to the store you got it from, and exchange it for another one, send it to Quaker Boy for repair/replacement, or fix it yourself. I wouldn't reccomend Super Glue however, I would try something a little less permanant, like Shoe Goo. This will get the job done, as well as let you get inside the call if you have to get a twig or piece of bark out from under the reed. Just my Suggestion:)

Thanks TrophyTracker. Good idea, I think I have some less permanent fixative at home that would be better. The local store I bought it from would laugh my butt out for a return (as crazy as it sounds) and deer season starts Saturday so Quaker Boy Repairs are hardly an option. I can fix it, I am sure of that, not the first problem I have encountered in this life and an easy enough fix.
Thanks.

Have you tried the other end of the flex tube? Might be that one end is a bit tighter than the other.

Duct tape is a beautiful thing too my brother!

HAHA! Thanks...That was the direction I was heading....Now should I go conventional gray or go all out and do Camo?HAHA :D

I use the Ridge Runner as a loud fawn call, the squeezin bleat for obvious reasons, and the HammerHead for awesome buck sounds. If ya can't get a Hammer Head, use the Brawler, that call is so real it's almost cheating.

Thanks for the advice, def wish I would have got that one instead (But they did not carry it at my local hunting store).
But hey whats another call, heck one year from now I think I might own every single QB call....Crazy but Awesome!

Nothing wrong with that:D

Just wait until Spring and it's time to stock up on some Gobbler Getters!

Tyson i was thinking about what you could do with that call to fix it today and i came up with the idea of using a rubber band doubled or trippled around it. I figured it would give it the extra strength to stay on when extending it but it would still be easy to take off. Hope this helps.
