My buddy shot this one around 8:30 this morning. Im taking a little credit cause i found the spot during archery, and i helped him drag it out. kinda hard to tell in the picture, 3pts on one side and a spike on the other.

Chad, this is by the spot i was keeping an eye on for wood ducks. Its bone dry now :(

Keith shot it from his climber. He said the buck come in from behind him.

Im getting kinda irritated down there. The spot keith shot the buck ive been hunting since archery and i went in there today and it was slammed full of tape. I checked on one of my stands today also. i went in to it from the trail and sat in it for a few minutes to catch a break and went out the back way to hit up the swamp and there was reflective tacks from my stand going to the swamp.

Chad, I got two other spots im pretty sure are holding water, but they are pretty thick. Ones real grassy and the other is like a big thicket with a pond in the middle. Dunno if wood ducks would hang in there or not?

They sure will! That is the type of place they will loaf during mid morning, and go to escape the machine gunning going on elsewhere. We will have to check it out, fo' sho'. I will go to the end of the Earth to make feathers fly!

Well I aint skeerd to go through the thick stuff, just ask Tim. Ill beat right on through. id hollow a tree out with a spoon if I had to get through it.

I got a feeling the guy going through this spot is just a swamp walker like me. the tape goes in one way and out the other. There is one stand now, but the tape goes right by it. We got one buck out of there so we will move on to another spot, but ill be walking it looking for pigs or whatever is hungry for lead.

010 is on the DL for sure. I forgot to mention I seen two deer sneaking through some tall grass and heard some turkeys yesterday morning. I barely caught a glimpse of the deer. seen the white on the inside of their legs at about 70 yrds. 5 minutes later I heard the turkeys. It was around 7:30.
