I have used this release before at Big Game Pro Shop in Umatilla, while testing some Mission Bows out. I fell in love with the way that the jaws opened when you pulled the trigger, and closed when you let go of it. The wrist strap was very comfy, but was made of fleece, which is fine when hunting, or when the weather is cooler, but gets hot and logged with sweat in the heat of the Fl Summer, causing my wrist to get raw. I started using a glove under my release, even when practicing and competing. I shoot an absolute ton though, so it may not be a big deal for others.
Overall, I would def. reccommend it!
I had to have a new release after shooting it, but chose a Team Realtree Tru Fire Buckle instead, which has the same Caliper action, and cost less.

Thanks....Got a gift card for Gander Mountain and will be heading over there after the new year to buy some gear...target, arrows, release. Changed my mind on targets and will be getting a Morrell Yellow Jacket--fixed up my majic stop foam enough to stand up to some more broadhead shooting for another summer hopefully? Going to pick up some GT XT's, bag target and that sniper release. I should be good on archery equip. for a while (I hope)

Sounds like a winner. The release I bought is a Gander Mtn. exclusive. If you try the Sniper, and don't like it for some reason(highly unlikely), give the Team Realtree T/F a try.

I have always used the Scott Lil Goose. I always use a glove under mine. I got in the habit of using a glove and I like it. My lil Goose has been doing it job for 7 years now, no problems.

I bought the release in January 2010 @ Gander Mountain (about the only thing GM is good for is archery equip.). I got the Truball Sniper 2 release in all black and with the leather buckle strap. The trigger is very adjustable and the release has held up very well, but I have really not shot the release too much due to the bad Fla. winter and family obligations ect....It is the best release I have owned and I like the trigger design, it feels good on my index finger. Its a little pricey @ $70 clams, but worth the $$$ IMO. Tim D.
