Turkey, Deer

Dave Reid lives in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. His passion for wild turkey hunting arose when the first Ontario wild turkey restoration began in March of 2004 within the Ministry of Natural Resources district where he served as biologist. After working as a field biologist for MNR for 20 years Dave took on a new challenge and is currently the stewardship coordinator in Norfolk County, on the north shore of Lake Erie, for the past 15 years. He is currently one of two representatives for the province on the NWTF technical committee. Proud member of the NWTF and the Ontario Federation of Angler’ and Hunters’ since 1986, Dave was the 2003 recipient of the Rick Morgan Professional Conservation Award, presented by the OFAH to a professional in the conservation field for outstanding contributions. He served as an OFAH wild turkey hunter training instructor for 10 years and continues to provide seminars on advanced turkey hunting strategies and tactics as a Quaker Boy promotional staff. Spring turkey hunting with daughter Meagan and son Garrett highlight his year, edging out annual fall hunts for upland birds, turkey and white-tailed deer.
